

Reunion Class of 1969 Donates $1,069 to Tiskilwa Historical Society
Adding to a generous tradition established by the Tiskilwa High School Class of 1962, this year’s THS 50th Anniversary class made a hefty donation to the Historical Society’s Building Fund. Their donation was immediately put to use at the Society’s new Gallery on Galena by purchasing eight remaining shutters as well as the materials that volunteers are using to build an access ramp on the east side of the building. History and Architecture of 1848 Home Featured at Museum on Main on October 14
The varied architecture of old homes in Tiskilwa has long fascinated visitors. In a program on Monday, October 14, Jeremy Gassen of the Tiskilwa Inn will share a look at the history, architectural details, and restoration of the structure that houses the Inn. October Program Preview
On Monday, October 14, Jeremy Gassen of the Tiskilwa Inn will present a program about the history and restoration of this stately home at 155 High Street. This 1910 photograph, looking south from Main Street, shows the broad lawn in place until the construction of the Tiskilwa Post office in 1962. The Tiskilwa Historical Society will host the program in its Community Room, beginning at 7:00 p.m.
