Art & Strawberry Festival and Town-wide Garage Sales Slated for June 8

The Tiskilwa Historical Society will again be welcoming summer with its annual Art & Strawberry Festival on Saturday, June 8, from 10:00 to 1:00 p.m. on the Museum on Main lawn. The public is invited to wander among the booths, where local vendors will be selling strawberry shortcake, artwork, farm produce, handicrafts, pizza, baked goods. To add to the fun, high school students will help out at a painting tables for kids, there will be a rock-painting booth for adults as well as kids, and Phil and Pam Kaufmann will provide music.

The Tiskilwa Public Library will also be participating with children’s activities, and beginning at 6:00 p.m., the TCA will hold its annual drawdown at Harmon’s Lake that evening. For early-bird bargain-seekers, various residents will be holding garage sales throughout the village.

Anyone artists or artisans who are interested in selling or displaying their products on the museum lawn may call Connie Kauffman at 815.646.4756. The historical society hosts the event to showcase local talent and there is no booth fee.

Tiskilwa's annual Art and Strawberry Festival will again fill the lawn of the Museum on Main on Saturday, June 8, from 10:00 to 1:00. With interesting booths of all kinds, music, and children's activities, it's a down-home way to welcome summer.
