Tiskilwa’s Museum on Main to Host Grand Reopening on Saturday, March 20

Spring cannot come soon enough and Tiskilwa Historical Society will welcome the first day of spring with a Grand Reopening Day this Saturday.

Board members will be serving coffee and treats, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Visitors are requested to wear facial coverings and observe social distancing. With the March 20 opening, the Museum on Main will resume its traditional hours between 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. every Saturday. Beginning April 3, the Gallery on Galena at 550 N. Galena Street, Tiskilwa, will welcome visitors every first Saturday of the month.

If visitors would like to visit the Gallery on a different Saturday, they may stop by the Museum, and one of the staff will take them over to the Gallery. On non-Saturdays, call Ed Waca for a tour by appointment at 815.646.4016.

On Saturday, March 20 Tiskilwa Historical Society is hosting a Grand Reopening Day at the Museum on Main. Board members are inviting the public to come on down and browse the ever-growing collection, including unusual postcards.
