Tiskilwa Historical Society invites the Bureau County community to “Catch the Spirit” and Walk Tiski

Tiskilwa Historical Society invites the Bureau County community to “Catch the Spirit” and Walk Tiskilwa on Saturday, December 10, from 10:00 to 1:00 p.m. Several organizations and businesses will be hosting activities and selling holiday-related goods along a festively decorated Main Street and beyond.

In a new feature, all three of Tiskilwa’s guest houses – 140 East, the Sugar Maple Inn, and the Tiskilwa Inn B&B -- will be open for tours. In addition, a dozen vendors of crafts and produce will set up shop in St. Mary’s church hall and the library’s community room.

Santa as well as a few alpacas are comin’ to town on December 10, and they hope you’ll stop by to see them: Santa at the Community Church and the alpacas on St. Mary’s lawn.

Following the Walk, beginning at 1:15, Nancy Harmon will present a brief program of seasonal photography from the Tiskilwa area in the community room at Museum on Main. Prior to the program, winners of the tree-decorating contest and raffle drawings will be announced.
