Looking ahead . . .

Looking ahead into the merry month of May . . . Mark your calendars! If you're able and interested, please make plans to join us on Saturday the 6th and Monday the 8th.

On May 6 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Beth and Les Saal will be hosting over at the Gallery on Galena for our first-Saturday opening. In recent months, local vets and their spouses have stepped up to welcome visitors at the GoG . Thanks, Les, for your service, and Beth for your community spirit. And Happy 50th Anniversary this week to a couple of Tiskilwa's finest!

Why not make it a "twofer" and stop by the Museum on Main in the same timeframe? Julie Sampson will greet you on May 6 with her trademark smile and show you around over there, if you'd like. BTW, the Museum on Main will be open this Saturday (April 27) as always. Larry Magnuson will be there to meet and greet.

On Monday, May 8 at 7:00 p.m., Norm Moline will present a program about our state's historic sites, as named on the National Register by the National Park Service. Many are "hidden gems" and Norm's goal is to encourage the audience members to explore these nearby places and experience our cultural history. Questions, observations, and personal tales will be welcomed.
