Historic Home Tour Featured in Tiskilwa on August 6

Tour the stately 180-year-old home “140 East” at the corner of Main and High Streets, Tiskilwa, in an open house from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 6, during Pow Wow Days.


Learn about the history of this handsome old home and see renovations that have been undertaken over the past year by its new owners, Sara Phalen and Brad Kimme. The home, built and cared for by Stevens family during the first century of its existence, has more renovations to come and the owners will share exciting plans for its future.

Free tours of an elegant home in Tiskilwa, “140 East,” will be given on August 6, during Pow Wow Days, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Timed-entry tickets may be reserved by emailing sara@140east.com.

In order to create a pleasant experience for all those who wish to tour, free timed-entry tickets may be picked up at Tiskilwa’s Museum on Main (110 East Main Street) on the next two Saturdays, July 30 and August 6, between 10 a.m. and 1 pm. Tickets may also be reserved by emailing sara@140east.com. This free tour is being held in conjunction with Tiskilwa Historical Society.
