MEMORIAL DAY CEREMONY
TISKILWA'S EAST PARK, 11:00 A.M.
MONDAY, MAY 29
GALLERY ON GALENA, OPEN 11:30 TO 1:00
Join in the annual commemoration on Monday, and then stop over at the Gallery on Galena to view military memorabilia and artifacts from the American Legion Post 346 and Auxiliary and to enjoy refreshments while you view the numerous displays.
TiskHistSoc is hosting both events and will provide seating under the newly roofed shelter. However, we encourage you to BYO lawn chair or blanket for the brief ceremony.
The two war memorials in the East Park represent our village's long-held respect for fallen soldiers. The Civil War Memorial, with the names of those who died from Arispie Township, was erected in 1866, making it one of the oldest in the county. In 1992, Tiskiwa's American Legion Post 346 installed the obelisk memorial with the names of local soldiers who have died in service to our country since World War I.

Thank you to Jan Lohaus who provided the lovely watercolor to recognize Memorial Day.
