A few people have asked what & when our May program will be at TiskHistSoc. So here's a preview. BTW, this early 1900s photo is from our collection ~~ Cruisin' Down the Canal on a Sunday Afternoon ~~ tra la.
On Monday, May 13, at 7:00 p.m., the Tiskilwa Historical Society will host Gary Wagle, president of Friends of the Hennepin Canal. Gary will share insights and photos of the canal – its construction and history, its 1978 placement on the National Register of Historic places, its current status as a recreational parkway, and the FHC’s plans for its future. The program at Museum on Main is free and open to the public, and it's always followed by refreshments and social time in the museum galleries.
