Illinois Author to Speak at Tiskilwa’s Museum on Main on September 10

Critically acclaimed freelance author and Illinois historian Tom Emery of Carlinville pays a return visit to Tiskilwa in a program co-sponsored by the Tiskilwa Public Library on Monday evening, September 10. at beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the Community Room at the Tiskilwa Historical Society museum.

The program will be preceded by a ten-minute meeting to thank T-H-S’s outgoing board members, Jan Lohaus and Elaine Bowers, for their special dedication and service to the organization. The event will also serve as an Annual Meeting to present a brief but mandated summary of the fiscal-year financial report.

Following the program, the society will provide refreshments and host a social time in the galleries. Everyone is invited to join us for this early evening of fun and fancy.

Tom Emery, Illinois author and historian, will help celebrate the Illinois Bicentennial with stories and facts from his newly published book, The History of Illinois, on Monday, September 10, beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Tiskilwa’s Museum on Main. All museum galleries will be open, so come early and stay late.
