Wearin’ of the Green on March 12 at Tiskilwa’s Museum on Main

With a tip o’ the derby cap to St. Patrick’s Day, Mick Henneberry of Princeton will present an “Irish Roving” program on Monday, March 12, at beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the community room at the Tiskilwa Historical Society museum.

Employing many tricks of the storytelling trade, Mick will share droll tales of mischievous Irish wit. In addition to both humorous and heartwarming stories, Mick plans to engage the audience in family-style fun: trying their luck with Irish tongue-twisters and perhaps even singing along with a favorite Irish tune or two, until the entire audience’s eyes are smiling.

Following the program, the society will provide refreshments and host a social time in the galleries. Everyone is invited to join us for this early evening of fun and fancy.

Mick Hennessey, professional storyteller, will be telling Irish tales on Monday, March 12, beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Tiskilwa’s Museum on Main. All museum galleries will be open, so come early and stay late.
