"Voices From Mount Bloom" Set for Saturday, August 5

Interested in the “inside story” of one of Tiskilwa’s historic homes, pictured here shortly after its 1903 renovation? Find out more on Saturday afternoon, August 5, when Joy Schertz portrays the long-time matriarch of the influential Stevens family in "Voices from Mount Bloom.” Romelia Lyon Stevens reigned supreme in the Stevens household from the time of her marriage to A. N. Stevens in 1871 to her death in 1934.

The stories of six former residents will be told at 1:00, 2:00, and 3:00 in performances at the cemetery gazebo. Tickets are required ($10 adults, $5 teens, children free with adult or teen) and may be purchased at the Tiskilwa Public Library.
